This necklace is made from a carved piece of Banksia, hand collected and created with an adjustable braided loop and cord to compliment its rustic nature. It has been carved, sanded and oiled. It is well sized and light to wear

Banksia seedpods represent cycles of life, death and rebirth. They beauty blooms and fades leading to the eventual opening of the woody element which drops seeds in the hope of new growth. They grow in bushfire prone areas and have a habit of opening during or soon after to plant new life. Naive to Australia First Nations cultures were revered to them as symbols of perseverance and resilience.

Care instructions

Your talismans are very strong and should last years in your care. Leather is affected by water exposure over time, so short showers or using light water splashes for crystal cleansing are okay, but to extend their life, reduce swimming or soaking of any kind.
